Samsung Smart Logistics was incorporated to meet the growing demand in the market for efficient Supply Chain Management (SCM) and logistics systems. They provide personalised SCM/Logistics solutions which align with the needs of a multitude of companies based on its own integrated Supply Chain & Logistics solution called “Cello”. Depending on the customers’ needs, various solution combinations are offered which ensure a steady exchange of information among the solutions and connections within the systems.
Skills and Experience
· Manage and supervise the overall daily operations of the factory, warehouse, distribution, and service departments.
· Manage and supervise production, inventory control, storage, logistics, shipping, and customer service.
· Daily management of warehouse and loading operations to safely and efficiently manage customer pickups, inbound and outbound transfers and customer deliveries
· Monthly management of warehouse costs
· Identify ongoing systematic issues and address in conjunction with production, finishing, production scheduling, inventory control and freight
· Plan, allocate and source daily freight requirements for deliveries, customer pickups and transfers according to required timeframes
· Manage day of operations disruptions and provide timely feedback to customers and internal stakeholders in the event of delay
· Maintain close working relationships and coordination with Production, Finishing, Freight and Inventory Control functions
· Implement tactics and projects within the functional area to support departmental strategies
· Ensure that staff are working in an efficient and safe manner
· Monitor and evaluate staff performance and conduct regular performance reviews
· Develop and maintain a professional and motivated employee team
· Priorities all logistic and dispatch enquires
· Inspect equipment, tools and machinery and oversee general maintenance.
· Manage WHS compliance in the warehouse
Key Attibutes
· Previous warehouse management experience with excellent planning and organisational skills.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse and logistics leadership role
· Ability to problem solve and manage a fast-paced storage, distribution, and production head office warehouse.
· Strong leadership to manage our warehouse staff by way of delegating, rostering, training, and monitoring.
· Able to implement, manage and follow company’s policies and procedures
· Experience in direct supervision and management of freight and transport companies.
· Strong work ethics with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Hands on approach to developing and mentoring the warehouse and freight team
· Excellent attitude towards safety and a demonstrated ability to comply with safety requirements.
· Very strong analytical skillsets including ability to analyses and interpret data and make judgement calls accordingly
· Superior decision making and problem-solving skills
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Basic computer literacy skills (including MS Office Applications)
· Able to work to adapt to flexible time requirements
· Work harmoniously and collaboratively as part of a team
· Ability to work towards a deadline
